1/2 cup dairy-free chocolate chips

2 tablespoons coconut milk (or almond milk)

1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for extra shine)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, for flavor)

1 cup powder sugar

23 tablespoons almond milk (or your preferred plant-based milk)


Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients & Equipment: Organize your workspace, gather and measure all ingredients. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the pan with vegan butter or oil, dusting with gluten-free flour or lining with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the Batter: In one bowl, whisk dry ingredients (flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt). In another, blend wet ingredients (almond kefir, flax eggs, melted butter). Gradually mix the dry into the wet ingredients until smooth, but thick.
  3. Bake the Cake: Pour batter into the pan, smooth the top, and bake at 350°F for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Rotate the pan halfway through for even baking.
